As a benefit of membership, Fellow Certified Geriatric Care Managers and Certified Geriatric Care Managers have the opportunity to use NAPGCM’s officially sanctioned, certified logo.
The logo is an industry-recognized symbol representing a commitment to excellence in the profession through attaining verified formal education, experience and related industry certifications required for both certified categories of membership.
Eligibility to use the logo is earned by established NAPGCM membership criteria. The criteria distinguish certified members when working with clients and further allows clients to verify that their Geriatric Care Manager is qualified by industry sanctioned professional standards.
As the elderly population continues to grow and more people enter the field of geriatric care management, upholding and consistently reinforcing high ethical and professional standards improves the profession as a whole while providing better quality of life services for the elderly and their families.
Advocates of Career Development
Certified members of NAPGCM have a personal and professional responsibility as leaders in their profession to promote career development for members who do not currently meet the certification requirements. This responsibility of being good stewards of professional and ethical standards extends to all people interested in the profession, members of NAPGCM or not.
Career development is responsible for attracting much needed new and qualified people to the growing profession while instilling the same level of service and values to those who are working to become certified members.
NAPGCM’s Certified Member Brand Awareness Program is equally about recognizing high professional standards while also serving as a beacon to those who aspire to have a career in geriatric care management.
Verified Professional Standards
To provide quick and official verification, members who use the certified logo in electronic format (web and email) are required to link the logo to NAPGCM’s official certified member web page that describes the certification standards. The web page is equipped with an information request form where consumers can ask for verification of certified member status. This web page is also accessible on the NAPGCM public website so that interested consumers have multiple points of entry to confirm that their geriatric care manager is certified.
Using the Certified Logo
Eligible members can use the certified logo in conjunction with their name only. For example, the certification does not apply to an entire company. The logo can be used on websites, email, business stationery, signage, apparel and other forms of communication that alert clients, consumers or interested customers to NAPGCM certified member standards.
What if I am not a certified member yet?
Members of NAPGCM who are not certified members may not use the the NAPGCM certified logo. However, non-certified members are eligible to use a logo designed for their level of membership on websites, email, business stationery, signage, apparel and other forms of communication. As soon as you meet the certified member category requirements, you are eligible to use the official NAPGCM certified logo.
